Pate, Poetry and Puds!  An Evening of Culture at St Michael’s

Ailsa is hosting the above evening on Thursday 14th of February when love will most definitely be in the air!  We are to be joined by local poet Alison Schultz who will entertain us with poetry from her recently published book “Eyes on the Bright Horizon”.  During the evening Alison will have a book signing when you will have the opportunity to purchase her book and meet with her.  Ailsa also hopes to be joined by a local artist and there will also be musical entertainment.  So why not blow away the cold dark nights and prepare for spring and join us for what will be a lovely evening.

Tickets are just £5.00 and available from Ailsa and Angela with all profits going to the St Michael’s “Playing my Part” fund.  If you can help with baking for the evening, please see Ailsa who is also seeking prizes for a raffle.

Church Flowers Many thanks to all those who have contributed to the Flower Fund during the past year. Your gifts have helped the team to use fresh flowers most weeks which have been much appreciated. Thanks to those who recently put money in the Flower box. This will help us to keep on providing fresh flowers each week. The Flower Team

Safeguarding Training. The next face to face training session for volunteers is to be held on Saturday 26th January from 10:00 to 13:00 at Church House Daresbury. There are also training sessions available on line. Contact Ian Casson for details. Training is encouraged for anyone who has any voluntary role within the Church but is a REQUIREMENT for everyone working with children or vulnerable groups or is a church officer (eg PCC member). Contact Ian to discover the level of training required for your role.”
