All Souls Service November 10th 6t.30pm

Invites are now at the back of church for our All Soul’s service.  Please complete with the name of a loved one you would like remembered on the evening (name will be read out) and hand to Ailsa.

“Play My Part” After a loss of confidence following a back problem last year, I am now back running!  I am not quite ready for a Half Marathon but am doing my first race this year, a little 10K at Tatton Park on Saturday 2nd November.  I thought I would use this as an opportunity to “Play My Part” in raising funds for our church and I am hoping you will be able to sponsor me in raising £100 (or more!) for St Michael’s.  There is a sponsor form at the back of church and I would be grateful for anything you feel you can give.  Thank you.  Ailsa

Keith Davies, local ambassador for Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), contributes the following:

‘They discriminated against us, they swore at us, but I never thought they were going to destroy our houses,’ says Alama an 18-year-old Mexican. In December 2017 Alma’s family was thrown out of their village in Mexico, along with around 60 others because they are a religious minority. They were forced to move to a town many miles away. Alma has always wanted to be a nurse, but she was unable to enrol at the school in her new neighbourhood. Children like Alma all over Mexico are being denied their right to an education, simply because of their faith. Pray that Alma will be able to resume school soon and pray for others in similar circumstances.
