St Michaels

About St Michael and All Angels

St Michael and All Angels is a well established Church of England church situated in the heart of Newton, on the border of West Kirby, Wirral.

Our vision is to know Jesus better and make him known to others. We do this by worshipping God, standing up for and sharing the joy of Jesus, loving others and making a real difference in the church and in our community.

What can I expect when I visit St Michaels?

When you come to St Michaels you will find a warm and friendly group of people committed to making church exciting, life-changing, and enjoyable. There are services for the whole family that include contemporary worship (including a café church service), a time of biblical teaching, and an opportunity to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ. Each service is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in length.

After each service, there is an opportunity to meet Cheryl, our vicar, and ask questions. We encourage you to come as you are – attire is casual. What is most important to us is that you come and experience what God wants to do in your life.

The church has full disabled access, including designated car parking, stair lifts and ramps. A projection system is used to make it easier to follow services and a loop system is available for the hard of hearing.

If you would like to visit St Michael and All Angels for the first time and you would like to have a chat first, please call Cheryl, our Vicar on 0151 625 8517.

Assistant Priest

Ailsa has accepted a commission as an Army Chaplain. Her last Sunday as our Curate was 6th September and she started her training on the 7th September. Due to the current Covid-19 situation, we will hold a celebration for her early next year. This is not farewell as she will continue to be rooted at St Michaels and will hold a licence giving her permission to officiate in this parish.
